Despite the environmental consequences, I personally don't think there's any harm in getting takeout, and getting about 3 layers of plastic (and a zip-tie!) along with your order. Plastic waste just isn't the biggest problem in the world right now. However, it is a bit of a dilemma when you have about 5 reusable bags, and yet you're unable to use any of it. Instead, you're left with an unnecessary amount of plastic bags floating about. Is anyone else facing this issue? And yet, I'm also totally aware that this is SUCH a first world problem-- some people aren't even able to get takeout! It's just a very confusing time right now.

Hey guys, same here for me.
I'm trying to still shop from farmers/traditional markets so we can bring our own containers and bags, also limiting myself to having take-out once every 3 days. I do feel guilty when it comes with so much unnecessary plastic. I find that one thing we can do is to tell the Gojek drivers to not include plastic utensils and straws. 🍜
At the end of the day, we have to remember that sustainable living is a process and we're not perfect. It's the little steps that matter! ☺️☺️
Glad you're talking about this! Personally I have an issue with packaged fruits & veggies. You know how they come in a thin layer of plastic? I used to think they're completely unnecessary and avoid them the best I can. However, with the current situation, I find myself preferring the wrapped produce because it feels more sanitary. Especially when I see shoppers pick up an apple to observe, and PUTTING IT BACK DOWN.... Not to mention my house has a strict "Wash everything that steps outside" policy, which means I'm washing my reusable bags every 3-4 days since we're shopping for 5 people and there's a lot of groceries to be bought. So sometimes we'd find ourselves taking the easier route and just using the plastic bags.
