Hi guys. I heard about fast fashion brands like H&M are trying to go sustainable. But, their fast fashion culture still causes tons of waste despite their efforts. So, can fast fashion really be sustainable?

Yes, fashion in today’s time can be sustainable and holistic in its approach and design process. Consumers, as well as brands, are getting more and more aware of the damages imposed by fashion labels on the environment and the pressing need of maintaining the health of our eco-system and nature. Thus, they are curating clothes and designs that are sustainable and natural in every stage of their making and after. One brand that is successfully doing this for the longest time now is The Meraki World. You can visit their website and check for yourself.
Great question!
Hmm I'm not entirely sure whether or not fast fashion brands can truly be sustainable, but I believe that any sustainability efforts that everyone makes (including these brands) COUNT. One action is better than none at all.
While I appreciate the steps that these brands have taken to become more sustainable, there's no denying that there are still many areas they can improve on, especially when it comes to waste management and also the well-being and safety of their workers. In the near future, I hope these brands can provide solutions and also be more transparent about their sustainability goals, plans and how they will measure their performance!
